Amritsar Bus Rapid Transit System (Amritsar BRTS) is the bus rapid transit (BRT) system under construction in Amritsar, Punjab, India. BRTS will Start operation in December 2015. The project was commenced on 19 September 2013. Amritsar BRTS is based on Ahmedabad BRTS model. The BRTS will operate with 93 Air-conditioned buses. This project would allow easy travel to different places in city like the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, Guru Nanak Dev University and Khalsa College. Amritsar BRTS is constructed on the lines of Metrobus (Istanbul).
